The new list of artists confirmed for FIB Benicàssim 2013 is released today, headed by Primal Scream and new British pop sensation Bastille. Plus John Talabot, Benny Benassi, Madeon, Little Green Cars and Ligers. These bands will be added to the already confirmed line up of The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, Dizzee Rascal, Miles Kane, La Roux, Kaiser Chiefs, Hurts, Jake Bugg, Azealia Banks and The Courteeners, amongst others. FIB 2013 will be held in Benicàssim’s concert venue on 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st July.

Primal Scream

The unstoppable Primal Scream return to FIB this summer, after showcasing Screamdelica live at the festival in 2011. Their new album, More Light, co-produced by David Holmes, is their first for five years and will be released in May through the band's new label First International. 2013 is the first single, and features My Bloody Valentine's Kevin Shields on guitar.

Bastille

South London pop quartet Bastille formed in 2010, originally starting out as a solo project by Singer-songwriter Dan Smith, who later decided to form the band. The line up is completed by Chris Woody Wood, Fill Farquarson and Kyle Simmons. Named after Bastille Day, Dan Smith’s birthday, expect tracks from their debut album Bad Blood to feature heavily in their FIB set.

John Talabot

Barcelona DJ, producer and remixer John Talabot rose to fame with the track Sunshine in 2010 and released his debut album Fin to rave reviews in 2012. Described by The Guardian as having a ‘knack for capturing the very specific kind of bliss associated with dancing on Mediterranean beaches at the height of summer’, Talabot is the perfect addition to FIB 2013.

Benny Benassi

Marco ‘Benny’ Benassi is best known for his massive summer club anthem Satisfaction. After several albums of electro-dance, this talented Italian continues to produce his pioneering dance sound, with original productions as well as remixes for the likes of Public Enemy, Goldfrapp, OutKast, Felix Da Housecat and Madonna.

Madeon

Despite his youth, Hugo Pierre Lecrecq has already received widespread praise and earnt himself recognition as one to watch in electro/house. This French producer and DJ’s tracks include Icarus, In The City and Finale, as well as remixes for bands such as The Killers, Yelle, Deadmau5 and Martin Solveig.

Little Green Cars

Having wooed US crowds with a series of shows throughout 2012, Dublin five-piece Little Green Cars are set to charm audiences with their forthcoming debut album Absolute Zero. Fronted by duo Stevie Appleby and Faye O’Rourke, their FIB set is bound to include catchy, energetic singles Harper Lee and The John Wayne, with their dusty percussion and vocal harmonies placing them somewhere between Mumford & Sons and The Maccabees.

Ligers

London quartet Ligers have got off to a flying start, with Liz Scott and bandmates Jono Bell, Tom Stone and Ian Luddy establishing a firm fanbase for their pop-folk repertoire. Tracks so far include What to Lose, Come My Way and Telling You.

His name is already renowned in Detroit's techno scene. Convincing and blunt, Terrence Dixon's sounds are minimalist, similar to those of his legendary friend Juan Atkins. However, it's not just techno, he experiments with shapes and essences that nurture his music. He manages to stay up to date because he always ends up swimming against the current. 'From The Far Future Part 2', reflects the exposed with real class.

Hailing from Sheffield, 23 year-old Tom Bell, aka Toddla T, is one of the most individual DJ/producers in the UK. In 2008 he came to the fore as one of British dance music's brightest new talents. His influences include the 'clangy Sheffield electronic sound' first heard from Cabaret Voltaire, with local speed garage variant, bassline and early Warp Records' bleep techno. He's also busy remixing the likes of Esser, Little Boots, Ladyhawke, Hot Chip and Tricky.

Toundra is a post-metal band from Madrid, Spain. They were formed in 2007 from the ashes of the hardcore band 'Nacen de las Cenizas', but they dropped the vocals in favour of the guitars, bass and drums. Toundra's music is risky and does not conform! The band already has already released two albums: 'Toundra' and 'II'. They are now fully immersed in the promotion of their third album 'III'

Aside from notable work as an acclaimed director with credits including videos for the likes of Yelle, The Shoes, Moby, Katy Perry, Mystery Jets and Lana del Rey, Yoann Lemoine is also singer/songwriter Woodkid.

The debut 'The Golden Age' already alludes to Woodkid being one of the most interesting musical talents to watch this year.

Dublin's The Riptide Movement has made great waves in Ireland with the current album 'Keep on, Keepin' on'. Mal Tuohy's vocal defines a band that is electric and fresh. Renowned for their phenomenal live shows, filling out venues and rocking out festivals all over Europe, they have toured Germany, Russia, France, India and the UK, supporting Bon Jovi and Bob Dylan.

Formed in 2006 by Jaime Navarro (vocals, guitar) and Carmelo Pastor (keyboard, trumpet), they won Proyecto Demo in 2009, which allowed them to play in that year's edition of the Festival. Since their debut album Río Salvaje (La Zaga, 2011), they've consolidated their music full of layers of psychedelic pop, vocal harmony and surrounding textures, creating a definite dream pop. In November of 2012 they presented the first volume of their last work, 'Espectro Mágico' which they'll be revealing this year

Pegasvs are Sergio Pérez García and Luciana della Villa from Barcelona, both members from Thelemáticos. Pegasvs was born in Asturias, Spain in 2010, with the recording of 'La melodía del afilador'. Atlántico', their second effort recorded in Barcelona, grabbed the attention of label Canada who offered them an album deal.

Their eponymous long player debut 'Pegasvs' was released in March 2012, preceded by two other cuts from the album 'El Final De La Noche' and 'Brillar'.

Miles Kane will be returning after a stellar performance a last year's FIB. From his break-through fronting the Rascals to his ongoing side-project with the Mercury-nominated The Last Shadow Puppets, Miles Kane's sound continues to excite fans.

Now back to the stages of FIB, Kane will present new output plus material from his debut solo album 'Colour of the Trap'.

That the legendary Chic frontman and distinguished producer Nile Rodgers openly praises Elly Jackson is an indicator of her magnetism and talent.

Accompanied by co-writer and producer Ben Langmaid, together the pair make-up synthpop duo La Roux. The Grammy-award winners will be presenting their new album at FIB.
